At Chicago Drum we will build the set of your dreams, and give you years of playing pleasure! Sometimes it seems that customer service is a lost art, but that is not the case at Chicago Drum. When you work with Chicago Drum you’re not working with a designated salesperson writing down an order, you’re speaking directly with the person who crafts your drums. Purchasing a hand-crafted drum set is a big investment and it should be everything you envision. We deliver personalized one-on-one service with you, the artist, to create exactly what you want in a drum set – instruments with a very tonal and resonant sound rarely found anywhere else.

Choose Your Shells

Our Chicago Classic™ Series and our Chicago Heritage™ Series Tom and Bass drums feature 6‑ply shells. The Chicago Classic Series features a Maple/Poplar shell that provides a brighter tone while our Chicago Heritage Series features a Mahogany/Poplar shell that has a warmer vintage sound.

Once you determine your set size, you’ll need to decide whether single or double mounts or a virgin bass drum is the way to go.

Are you looking for the beauty of natural oiled wood or a beautiful stain, or is there a favorite wrap you’ve coveted since you were a teenager? Perhaps the amazing fractal finish is exactly what you’ve been looking for. Pretty Things™ finishes open up a whole new range of possibilities. The choice is yours. Take a look at the finishes listed here. If you don’t see the wrap you’re looking for let us know and we’ll work with you to try and make it happen. Although we offer an amazing array of finishes, we do not offer lacquer finishes.
